Notcutts Cranleigh

Notcutts is a well-stocked garden centre with just about everything you might need, from plants to garden furniture, plus homeware and pet supplies. Located just outside of the village, staff are knowledgeable and happy to advise and provide guidance. There’s also a well-regarded restaurant serving breakfast and lunch options.

Squires Garden Centre

Squires Garden Centre is located nearby in Milford, Godalming. They offer a wide variety of indoor and outdoor plants, shrubs and trees, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to offer advice when needed. The garden centre has its own gardens to provide inspiration, as well as a newly-built café serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.

Below are some of our favourite parks and gardens in and around Cranleigh.

Knowle Park Country Park

Knowle Park is a new community parkland and event space in Cranleigh. It’s privately owned land but community-managed and includes upgraded walking paths and a new wildlife lake. The park is open 24 hours a day, although the car park is only open between 8am and 6pm.

There are a number of events held at the park, including planting days where the community comes together to improve the space even more.

Winkworth Arboretum

Winkworth Arboretum is located just outside Cranleigh, to the northwest side. It’s a beautiful space that offers a “spectacle of colour” all year round, with bluebells in the spring, and glowing red and orange leaves in the autumn. Winkworth is managed by the National Trust and is their only arboretum. There’s plenty of parking, guided walks around the site, plus an adventure playground for children. Dogs on leads are welcome.
